Q: Can I join Twenty-Six Two? If so, what are the benefits?
A: Men and women who have completed at least one marathon can become a member by paying the one-time, lifetime dues of $26.20. The benefits available to members are: ♦ weekly group runs on Saturday and Tuesday mornings ♦ access to training plans for marathons ♦ coached, but informal, workouts on Monday evenings during the fall ♦ reduced-cost training gear and carbohydrate gels ♦ nifty window decals with the Twenty-Six Two logo ♦ social functions! Q: When and where are the club workouts?
A: There are two (2) weekly group workouts: Monday evenings and Saturdays at 7 am (long runs).
The Monday workouts usually occur or begin at Hill Country Middle School in Westlake, and mostly occur only in the fall training season.
The Saturday long runs usually begin at 7 am in front of Tetra Fitness at 1717 West 6th Street in central Austin (although the club does occasionally go to different locations on some Saturday mornings). The location for each Saturday run is always posted on the club's home page.
Q: How much does it cost for members to sign up for marathon training?
A: $100.00 for a 24-week coached program. Can't beat that anywhere in town.
Q: What am I waiting for?
A: Good question! We don't know...What are you waiting for?
