marathon club
austin, texas

Twenty-Six Two, a Texas nonprofit corporation, is a club of over 200 men and women marathoners.  We train together, socialize whenever we can, and support each other throughout the year.  Our club's mission is to support marathoners of all experience levels - from first-time marathoners to advanced marathoners - and to promote the sport in and around Austin, Texas.  Every year, Twenty-Six Two provides free training to a group of women who want to complete their first marathon.

What do we do for marathoners and runners who want to become marathoners?

We provide reasonably-priced training (24-weeks) for any race that you want to run, with individualized training plans and personalized pace/speed/training charts based on your experience level, ability, and marathon goal.  The price for club members is $100.  The price for non-members is $150.

We coach men and women who want to run a first marathon, or a marathon "just for fun," or their fastest marathon, or a "Boston qualifying" marathon.  If a marathon is your goal, we are the club for you.

We charge one-time, lifetime dues of only $26.20 (for anyone who has run at least one marathon). No annual dues payments, no monthly "coaching fees," no "test us out for $5" gimmicks.  Want to "test us out" for a run?  Then come run with us.  The streets are free and so is the water that we provide on Saturday long runs.

We provide small group friendliness, where the coaches know your name. Want a "running herd" that costs over $400?  That's not us.

We give away half-marathon training plans to members.  Why pay $175-$300 for something that we give away?

We run marathons.  That's what we do.
